A city park where children play sports year-round is no place for a gun show--let alone a massive gun show 8 times a year. By leasing our auditorium to a gun show, the Fort Lauderdale City Commission enables thousands and thousands of guns onto our streets and into our community. 

In Florida, a child is shot every 17 hours, a gun is stolen every 26 minutes and we have the highest rate of road rage with a firearm in the nation. A massacre occurred at the airport just 6 miles from the park. We deserve to feel safe and we deserve elected officials who care about our safety.

The Fort Lauderdale City Commission must end the gun show lease!
