So what's up at MuHa right now?

Work, work and more work. Khash has been working hard on the crafting/recipe mechanics, the equipment and resource advancement trees, as well as coding additional skill functionalities and fixing bugs, making extra features for the event editor and generally being his super human self. The rest of us are trying to keep up. All those resource and crafting windows need UI and graphic design, the database is growing every day with new item cargos, skill packs, trader profiles and more. And the story world is expanding in turn, to make use of all those awesome new features and mechanics.

More, more and more. Still aiming for that playable build in May, we're hammering away in every department. We now have a tool to test events in game, which is awesome, so we can try to test if what we've done so far actually works and then this will lead to balancing and corrections. In addition to what we've shown on the screenshots, we've added things like: curses, blessings, illness, toxins - so all those lovely effects you can get from encounters. We're now looking to work on the mechanics of healing people via event, so that we can help you get rid of all those lovely effects too.

We have nearly 100 trader profiles - so each faction will have a different trade option depending on the size of the settlement, type of faction, and your status with them. We're now trying to balance our desire for these traders to be unique and lore appropriate, with the challenge of not making them too restricted/boring. For example, there was an idea that elves would only sell ranged weapons (no other weapon types) but then we thought - won't that get boring? We then discussed making a restriction on the materials elves will use (only wood), rather than strictly weapon types, and that seems to work better, in theory at least.

Check out our newest addition below: Pets!

Pets will be companions carried in equipment slots and depending on the type of  pet, they will give bonuses, like: movement points, carry bonus, or they can even be called into a challenge to aid you.

Pets! We now have horses, carrier goats, cats, cmuch, skshack, boar, bear, wolf and ghost companions so we'll never feel lonely...

What's coming next?

More of the same. Our plan is to come to Digital Dragons in Krakow in May and to have a playable build of the game ready to show and test. So the timetable is tight and as such, we're trying to push as much as we can. - Yup, that's pretty much still the target for now.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more buzz from MuHa coming to you soon!

All the best,

MuHa Team
