There is much distress among ourselves and our neighbours in Beasley and the North End about how the revised Downtown Secondary Plan that has been under development for 5 years could change our neighbourhoods for the worse.
Among other concerns for us, there is no transition between residential areas and 30 storey buildings; north and south of York/Cannon.
A public meeting about the Downtown Seconday Plan has been organized by neighbourhood, environmental, tenant and other organizations on March 6th at 6.30pm in the Hamilton Room at Central Library.
If you can, please come out to show our desire for a people friendly downtown secondary plan as the earlier draft from May 2017 demonstrated.
