Dear Robin,

Did you make any New Year’s resolutions this year? Often, we set ambitious goals that are nearly impossible to reach. Sometimes small changes can create big differences!

A small change that’s easy to carry out is to spend more time outdoors. Mounting research shows spending just a little more time in natural areas can have significant health benefits, both physically and psychologically.

Simply put, spending time in parks and trails and other outdoor places makes us feel better. Plus, it’s fun!

So resolve to get outdoors more in 2018. And enjoy.

With best wishes for the New Year,

Robin Dropkin
