Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30pm for our next PTA meeting.  All are welcome to attend.

Prior to the PTA meeting there will be a SAC Community Meeting to discuss the School Plan and Budget for the 2018-2019 school year.

Student Walkout Against Gun Violence

On Wednesday, March 14th, Upper School students from C. W. Henry planned and participated in a walkout against gun violence with the support of the school community.  We are very proud of our students for taking a stand on such an important issue.

Philly Spring Clean Up Day

Join the PTA in helping C. W. Henry's playground, garden, and school grounds get ready for Spring on Saturday, April 7th from 10am-1pm. As part of the cleanup day, we will be creating a new garden aimed at attracting birds, bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. This event is hosted in conjunction with the City of Philadelphia's 11th annual Spring Cleanup Day.

New Parent and Family Portal

The School District’s new Parent and Family Portal is now available, providing instant access to your child's attendance and grades.

Click here for more information and to register.

The School District of Philadelphia is proud to offer a tool that parents and family members may use to stay connected to their child and their school. The School District of Philadelphia’s Parent & Family Portal gives you access to valuable information about your child’s education and school. You will be able to view your child’s academic history, test results, attendance, and more. You can also request to receive text messages, emails and/or phone calls about important issues that might impact your child, (i.e. weather-related school closures and delays, attendance alerts and upcoming events of interest to families).

Lower School Dance

Ticket order forms went home this past week in communication folders for the Lower School Dance, taking place Friday, April 13th from 5:30-7:30pm.

Our K-5 Family Dance is one of the most popular CW Henry gatherings of the year! We have sold out of tickets each year as we raised money for projects to benefit our school, socialized with other parents in the community, and had a blast with all of our children! In order to make it run smoothly, we need lots of helping hands. We have broken shifts into small chunks of time so that volunteers can also enjoy the dance. And encourage your friends to work a shift with you.

We need YOUR help in preparing for next year’s PTA programs, events and activities. Take a moment to complete this form, tell us what is important to YOU. Please complete by April 2, 2018. Please be as specific as possible in your response. Thank you for being involved in your child’s education!

Around Town: Mommy Poppins List of Easter Egg Hunts Around The Area

Are you looking for an Easter egg hunt to help celebrate the start of Spring (hopefully the Spring weather will also be here soon)?  Check out the list from the Mommy Poppins website.  And while you're there, check out some of the other great resources the website has for Philly area families.

Easter Egg Hunts Around the Philadelphia Area
3/16/18 - By Kristen Sullivan

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail.... As Peter Cottontail makes his way to the Delaware Valley, Philly kids should find their favorite basket and get ready to search high and low for eggs at these local Easter egg hunts. Most of these egg hunts are outdoors. In the event of questionable weather, please be sure to check directly with the organizers to see if they have a rain date (all of our event listings link to official websites). Also, make sure to click through to our events calendar for exact times since many hunts have multiple time frames based on age.

The majority of these egg hunts are FREE and are a great way to welcome spring and create Easter traditions with your kids. Be sure to also check our Easter Bunny Express post for info on special holiday train rides and our Easter Fun at Farms post featuring plenty of photo ops, animal visits, and outdoor fun.
