The Recording Academy® Statement Re: Luigi Creatore Dec. 16, 2015

" Luigi Creatore was a truly gifted songwriter and record producer. Along with his cousin Hugo Peretti, Luigi created numerous memorable hits for artists including Sam Cooke, Perry Como, Elvis Presley and many others. In 1976, Hugo and Luigi won the GRAMMY® Award for Best Cast Show Album for their production work on the original cast album of the musical 'Bubbling Brown Sugar.' We have lost a gifted and cherished music creator and our sincerest condolences go out to Luigi’s family, friends, collaborators and all who have been impacted by his incredible work."
