A Few Quick Notes
Inventory Party - Last Call!
Saturday, January 6. A quick reminder if you would like to join a great group for our annual inventory "party", please register on the website. We'll be counting every item in the shop. We make it fun! You provide the fingers and toes for counting and I will provide lunch and a Fiber Garden gift certificate for all participants. We are typically done before 4:00 and if you need to leave sooner, we are a very understanding group!
20 Year Celebration Ends with A Bang!
All throughout 2017 we've been celebrating and recognizing our talented weaving instructor, Susan Frame! The year of celebration ended in a grand way with Susan being invited to join the teaching team at Sievers School of Fiber Arts! If you've been looking for the perfect get-away to learn to weave, keep late May open and plan to join Susan on peaceful Washington Island!
Madison Knitter's Guild 2018 Knit-In
March 16-18. If you have not been to the annual Knit-In sponsored by the Madison Knitters' Guild, you've been missing out on a great event! Lots of inspiring workshops, good vendors, and many fun activities. I'm happy to be teaching beginning rigid heddle weaving and color in spinning workshops at the Knit-In. Take a mid-winter break and retreat to Madison for a weekend!
2019 Travel Tours
After an amazing tour through Great Britain in 2017, our 2018 Scotland Sheep-to-Shawl tour filled in 10 days! With the great interest in fiber travels, the Fiber Garden is looking ahead to host more tours with a strong focus on fibers. In 2019, we will be traveling to spend a week on the Shetland Islands (expected to be scheduled for early June) and we will also be hosting a Sheep-to-Shawl tour through Ireland in late September-early October. If you are not already on the list to be notified of new travel opportunities, please email Deb. This will give you an earlier notification when reservations open.
