Longtime Baltimore TV broadcaster Royal Parker dies at 86
Longtime Baltimore broadcaster Royal "Parker" Pollokoff has died.The Baltimore native began his radio and television broadcasting career in the 1950s, which included four decades at WBAL-TV, where he played P.W. Doodle, hosted Pinbusters and Bowling for Dollars and served as an announcer. He retired in 1994.Parker and his wife had three sons, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.A funeral has been scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. at Sol Levinson on Reisterstown Road. Parker will be interred at the Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent in Parker's memory to charity.Parker died Friday morning at the age of 86.
