Condolences to Family and Friends of Soke Kenei Mabuni

We are deeply saddened by the news of Soke Kenei Mabuni’s passing (2nd Sōke and son of Shito-Ryu Founder, Kenwa Mabuni). Mr. Mabuni passed away on December 19, 2015 at the age of 97 in Osaka, Japan. He was born on February 13, 1918 in Shuri, Okinawa.

Between 1968 – 1970, Soke Mabuni used to go over to Fumio Demura Sensei’s old dojo and taught him a lot of things. Sensei learned much valuable information from him.

We extend our deepest condolences to Soke Kenei Mabuni’s family, friends and students on the loss of your teacher. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
