Robin van Persie produced a moment of magic as his low effort from outside the box sealed three points for Feyenoord in their Eredivisie clash with Heracles

Robin van Persie produced a moment of magic as his low effort from outside the box sealed three points for Feyenoord against Heracles.

Feyenoord struggled in the first half and they could have been behind early in the second when Kristoffer Peterson's strike was tipped onto the bar by former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones.

But Van Persie, making his first start since returning to the club, proved to be the difference moments later as the ball fell onto the left foot of the former Manchester United and Arsenal striker just outside the Heracles penalty area, and he picked out the bottom corner.

Van Persie left the field to a standing ovation with 15 minutes remaining as Feyenoord held on to secure all three points to move up to fourth.
