Please find a message below from Madeline Ward, secretary to the Hon. Normal Shapiro, z'l, who passed away Friday Morning.
Good morning to each of you. It is with deep sadness that I share with you the news of Judge Shapiro's passing this morning. For those of you who are able to attend her funeral, the particulars are as follows:
The funeral will be held on Sunday, July 24th at Adath Jeshurun Synagogue, 7763 Old York Rd, Elkins Park, PA 19027. The family will accept visitors from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.; the funeral service will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. Following the service, Judge Shapiro will be buried next to her beloved husband, Bernie, at Roosevelt
Memorial Park, 2701 Old Lincoln Hwy, Trevose, PA 19053. Shiva will be observed at the Judge's home, 417 Hidden River Road, Narberth, PA, beginning on Sunday evening (July 24) at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions in Judge Shapiro's name may be made to the Abramson Cancer Center 3400 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
Please forgive the impersonality of this message but we wanted to get this information out as quickly as possible. I know I haven't begun to include all of those who knew and loved the Judge, so I ask you please to feel free to pass this information along.
