Letter: Kiwanis Club appreciates support of annual auction

Published 6:14 pm Tuesday, February 20, 2018

The Kiwanis Club of Winchester would like to thank the many individuals, businesses and corporations who supported our annual auction last week. Without the support and efforts of our local merchants and businesses who donated merchandise and services for our sales, as well as the sponsorships of our showcases, this even could not have been held. Special thanks goes to the many volunteers who worked behind and in front of the camera.

Our major sponsors — GenCanna Global, State Farm ages Alan Walters, M.K. Beauty Bar owner Michelle Kelley, The Freeman Corporation, The Winchester Sun, WKYN 107.7 radio, Something Mohr Productions, Central Baptist Church, Bluegrass Area Development District and Spectrum cable — had a major impact on the success of our auction.

The success of our auction will provide funding for our signatures project: Walk With A Child, held each year to provide back-to-school clothing for elementary school children. The money will also provide us with opportunities to help fund our other projects for children, as well as supporting local agencies with like programs.
