This Thursday: All Mesa Family Meal
I remember last August when the idea popped into our heads. What if we got all the beginning seeds of missional communities in Mesa together for a shared meal. What if instead of a highly programmed 2 hour time slot, we ate together, shared stories, intentionallly engaged with the kids, prayed and closed out with a gospel reminder? For the last 7 months we have been in the rhythm of All Mesa meals and they have been good!
These nights together around the fire and food, have been so formative in who we are becoming as a family of missionary servants. We not only got to taste the creative splendor of each other’s food, but share in each other’s lives in a way we don’t always get to as we are sent to love different spheres of our city. We grew together in a way that we believe will help sustain us as we grow out in new friendships with others in Mesa.
For all the good this season has been, the leadership of each of the Missional Communities has agreed that these meals should come to an end in order to free up the time to continue loving, serving, and being hospitable to new friends and developing healthy Missional Community rhythms.
So, this Thursday night (March 1) will be our final All Mesa Thursday night meal for the Spring. The feast will be soups and salads and you can check GroupMe for more details!
Don’t worry- We will continue meeting weekly with Missio Dei Tempe through April 1 and then on April 8th we will be meeting together in Mesa on Sundays at 4.30.

Next Friday (March 9th): A Night With Missio Dei Mesa
Don’t forget to plan ahead! We don’t often do nights like this, but as we pray, plan, and proceed with planting the gospel in Mesa, we thought it crucial to get everyone together to talk and worship together.
On Friday, March 9th from 7-8.30 we are hosting a night of prayer, worship, and vision for Missio Mesa. RSVP and more details here.
* We will not have childcare staffed so that as many Missio Mesa people as possible can make it to pray, worship, and tell stories together.
