Kata Class Tonight!
Kata Class is tonight, from 6:00-6:30pm, is open to all student's and ranks. This is a great opportunity to hone your kata skills for testing, ramp up your training for the upcoming tournament season, or just take this opportunity to make your martial arts the best they can be! This class is an awesome supplement to your regular training! Be sure to come stretched out and ready to rock!

Academy Closed For President's Day!
We will be closed on Monday, February 19th, for President's Day. We encourage everyone to take some time, with the family, and think about all the wonderful President's that have guided our great country!
***ABMA Closure Policy*** To make it easy and consistent for everyone, the Academy will be closed on the same days, for weather and holidays , as Jeffco schools. In any other circumstance, please refer to our Facebook page for updates.

Escrima, Kajukenbo and Moore With Sifu Tim Mills!
Sifu Tim Mills is a multiple time World Stick Fighting Champion, UFC Referee, and Kajukenbo black belt under the legendary Emperado's! Mr. Mills will be sharing his vast knowlege with America's Best Black Belt Club Members every Thursday night, from 7:30-8:30pm!

Belt Testing Is February 28th !
Belt Testing is always an exciting time around America's Best Martial Arts! Achieving a new rank always helps to reinvigorate us as martial artists. It allows us to refocus and set new goals. With each new step along the pathway to Black Belt, we learn things about ourselves that we could not learn through any other endeavor. We forge our character, refine our concentration, and develop our spirit within the pursuit of martial excellence! With each successive step, the karateka (karate practitioner) is more and more aware of how the martial arts are a life style, and not a mere physical or mental activity...
There will not be regular classes on testing day. Make Up Testing will be on by appointment only. Finally, train hard and be ready! The best way to overcome being nervous is to be prepared for testing!!! I look forward to seeing you there!

BBC Belt Testing Curriculum Review!
Attention all Black Belt Club Members! There will be a Belt Testing Curriculum Review on Wednesday, February 21st, with the Beginners and Novice student's kicking it off from 6-7pm, followed by the Intermediate and Advanced student's from 7-8pm! Here is your chance to polish your skills, ask questions, and fine tune your abilities for the 28th! This class is free for all BBC Members and highly encouraged!

Special Instructor Training Class!
Attention all Sempai, Sensei, Renshi and Kyoshi (and all those that aspire to someday be!), on Friday, February 23rd, from 6-8pm, we will be having a very special training class to prepare all instructor's and assistant's for the next curriculum block. We will also be looking at different teaching strategies and techniques, that will take your teaching abilities to the next level! This class is required for all assistant instructor's at the academy for both martial arts and kickboxing, and suggested for all advanced student's. Be sure to bring your notebooks!

Women's Personal Safety Seminar!
As a service to our community we will be holding a FREE Women's Personal Protection Seminar on Saturday, March 3rd, from 10:00-11:30am. This seminar is open to all women who can benefit from the training, so please feel free to forward this email to any friend, relative or colleague you feel may be interested in participating. During the seminar we will be teaching you practical, proven techniques for dealing with;
*The approach or "Interview" stage of the attack.
*How to set physical & verbal boundaries.
*Practical, proven self-defense techniques.
