The Inside Scoop is the area's premier, award winning 1950's style ice cream parlor. We make all of our ice cream fresh in the store, and we have the craziest flavors you have ever seen. Tried and true cookies and cream (made with REAL Oreos) to Beer and Peanuts and Maple Bacon. Also try our extra thick old fashioned milk shakes or our 14 scoop smoking Volcano sundae - the largest in PA. We also have the only working 1955 Seeburg 200 jukebox controlled by 5 authentic Seeburg table remotes - all filled with 200 45 rpm records! And don't forget our 20' outdoor movie screen - which is fired up in our picnic area during summer weekends.

Scoop pumpkin ice cream was frozen too hard, but otherwise very good.
Brother ordered banana foster ice cream, which was softened enough to enjoy it.
We sat in the shop and enjoyed ice cream, admiring 50s style ice cream shop.

Butterscotch ice cream with nuts and hot fudge was too sweet.

Butter pecan ice cream and coconut ice cream with hot fudge was all good.

One scoop butter brickle ice cream already melting as they handed it to me at drive-thru window. Not sure why lid on cup.

04582Jul 15, 2023Some of the best ice cream around! They have lots of great flavors that change every day. Lots of indoor seating in two vintage style rooms, picnic tables outside, and a drive-thru! The antique looking gas pump is also a Tesla charging station, so there's a good excuse to get ice cream. And don't forget to take a picture with Giant Chip!

One thing central-to-northern PA is known for is homemade ice cream spots. Glad to stumble across this one after my nephew's first rec basketball game a few weekends ago.
This not a nice retro-ish vibe to it. Tons of flavors and big serving sizes, altho a bit pricey. I wish they had cookies and cream when I was there, but instead ended up settling with some soft serve vanilla ice cream. Can't go wrong.
The place seems very homey too. We were just sitting in the back area next to the shuffleboard table. Got in a game while we were eating our ice cream. Also, they do make pup cups, which was QUITE a generous portion size.
Another added bonus: Tesla chargers.
