A pedestrian hit by a driver Sunday in Southeast Portland has died, police said.

The pedestrian, 74-year-old Fuk K. Chan of Portland, died Monday at a hospital. The Portland Police Bureau announced his death Tuesday. Chan's death was the seventh traffic-related fatality the bureau's Major Crash Team has investigated in Portland this year and the second in several days in Southeast Portland.

Chan was crossing Division Street near 115th Avenue around 8:30 p.m. when a driver in a Nissan Quest hit him, a police spokesman previously said.

The driver, a man waho hasn't been publicly identified, has cooperated with investigators. Police said their investigation will be presented to prosecutors "for review and consideration" upon its completion.

The crash remains under investigation. Police urge anyone who has information about it to contact Officer Garrett Dow at 503-823-5070 or Garrett.Dow@portlandoregon.gov.
