Student Refugee Program (SRP) Support Positions
Are you interested in international development and taking on an active role supporting students and raising awareness about refugee rights? If yes, WUSC (World University Service of Canada)’s Student Refugee Program is a wonderful volunteer position for you! WUSC boasts a unique student-to-student sponsorship program, allowing 2 or 3 refugee students to pursue their undergraduate education at University of Guelph as permanent residents. As an SRP support person, you will work in a team of 4 fellow volunteers to partner with an arriving refugee and offer support and guidance during their transition to a new country and post-secondary education. Executive Member Positions
Local Committee Executive Team positions are also open. As part of the Exec team, you will work to raise awareness about WUSC and refugee issue on campus. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills. Refer to the end of this post for the full job description which provides further description, expected responsibilities, and required skills and experience.
