Super fresh produce, friendly vendors, great prices. Cheerful energetic ambience. The fresh strawberries, when in season, are the most flavorful I have ever had. Bring cash; most vendors take credit cards but some do not. The cheese guy happily gives samples whether you ask or not and the cheeses taste great.

I went around 1pm on a Sunday, which is pretty late, but there were still various varieties to offer from vendors. I got these really soft pretzel and foraccia, $3 each. There were a lot more vendors selling fruits and veggies that are way cheaper than NYC. I bought purple string beans and ground cherries for $7! The ground cherries are so sweet; just peel off the shells and enjoy! They are only opened on Sundays.

The Red Bank farmers market is on the small side. There are however a variety of vendors, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, Italian specialties, pickles and probably my favorite the Bread folks from Cranford. When a vendor has a long line that's the one you hit and these folks do not disappoint. The goods from Breadsmith are top notch. I tried their sour dough, awesome, their scones...awesome. They sell these loaves or small pieces from bread stuffed with fruit....very good. I had the apple and blueberry breads, very fresh. If you visit the market check out these folks. Parking is easy and it's a great way to spend an hour.

We visited the Red Bank Farmers Market in late October 2020, during the pandemic. There were quite a few vendors, but the weather wasn't ideal. I'm sure during normal times when the weather is better, this place is probably bumping. Since I was visiting town for a couple of days and staying with a quarantine friend, I had no need for any fresh fruits or veggies. However, I did pick up some crystallized ginger, which was delicious. The farmer's market had a good selection of fresh foods, desserts, dog treats, nuts, meats, breads, and seafood. There were also stands selling local flowers and honey.
We got there about noon-ish, and there was one food truck left. It was called Your Sisters Balls, and offered a meatball menu. We giggled like children. Sadly, the had nothing for the vegetarian in the group. I was really hoping for a hot toddy truck because it was such a cold day. No dice.
The Red Bank Farmer's Market is in a really sweet location to park and walk around the town. It's just down the street from fun cafes and restaurants offering up outdoor seating (during covidtimes, at least). and It's just a few blocks from Broad Street, where you'll find even more delightful places to explore. (During October 2020, the road was closed off to automobiles and allowed only foot traffic for outdoor dining.)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rating J.Holmdel, NJ03819Jun 30, 2019Updated review
Vendors are still not posting prices. With the exception of the organic farmers table. The Italian vendors never post their prices and the only other farmers table used to but are not currently posting their prices. There are only the two farmers tables. Very disappointing. There were about four others there last season. I miss the variety & selection the others offered. Hoping the absent farmers return and all vendors post their prices as required by NJ law.

Most do post them as per New Jersey law. A couple do not. I wish the the law would be enforced so I can walk up to any table and know what the prices of the items are. Kudos to those who do the right thing!

Thankful that there's a farmers' market in the area that offers fresh, organic produce. The organic tomatoes here are some of Jersey's best.
There are a variety of stands, offering everything from local honey, flowers, bread, and some knick-knacks. One of my favorite stands offers iced liquid nitrogen coffee and they even offer almond milk on the side.
Johnny's Pork Roll truck has one of the best pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches I've ever had.
The farmers' market also has Cinnamon Snail, one of yelp's most highly rated NYC spots.
The farmers' market closes at 2 pm which is kind of inconvenient. Definitely check this place out!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Daisy M.New York, NY029373Sep 1, 2013
First of all, I had to give 5 starts because the market has Cinnamon Snail that I consider "Culinary Miracle","Revolutionary Vegan Cuisine."
The market itself is just like other Farmer's market. it has about 20~25 vendors, selling local produce, and the prices is very reasonable, I found the prices is cheaper than the Summit Farmer's market, and a half of Union Square Farmer's market in Manhattan.
About the pickle vendor, I am not sure if the claim is true, since I got my change exactly and my friend also got her change precisely.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joan W.Red Bank, NJ225515Nov 7, 2017
Pretty good market. Usually 3-4 produce stands, sometimes more. My favorite is Hauser's; Love their eggs. Most of them sell what they grow. There was one selling California strawberries which I don't consider to be in keeping with the spirit of a farmers market that calls itself local. (And the guy there smokes.). But the breads, several different vendors; Dino with the Italian goodies, the Polish ladies, the fresh local seafood and my favorite the mushroom guy. They go until end of November, later than most. Parking surprisingly easy.

Most expensive farmers market I've ever been to (including the ones I've been to in Arizona, Wisconsin, New York and New Mexico). I'm talking organic prices for conventional produce. Such a bummer! The best thing about this place is be Cinnamon Snail truck, amen.
